Mostly I organize them first by fly type (dry, streamer, EN, wets, nymphs/emergers) then within that I group them by insect (or fly).

I have found over the years that a size 2 or so Crayfish fly on a sink tip line where you hit the bank or structure, let the fly drop to the bottom, make a couple of hard quick strips and pause, let the fly sink back to the bottom, and repeat. I have not found that taking the time to strip the fly back to the boat is productive with crayfish flies.

Sort-of an “A” shape, if that makes sense. Now, not much of an issue if one remains conscious and can deploy the PFD to the intended vest position but, if there is a loss of consciousness, the PFD may not work as intended.
