Take a set of wire cutters and cut each of the 4 white spokes then pop out the blue restrictor plate. I removed mine, I didn't see a huge increase in water flow. I did find that these babies act as check valves, and now my shower head drips for hours after I'm done showering. Probably best to leave it in.
