I've disabled blood infection, saliva only, thought I got bit but I just got a laceration and scratches, but symptoms of the Knox infection started kicking in and eventually I turned.

I let myself get bitten to guarantee infection and then teleported on top of a 5 story building, immediately upon landing and dying, you reanimate. Heavier items will provide more but can cause you to over heat. Resilient will reduce the chance you get infected from a laceration or scratch. Bites are always 100% guaranteed to infected you. Don't get bit. Your best bet is to not get grabbed. Once you are infected with the zombie virus there's no slowing or stopping it.
