Hey guys, I have a 2008 Jeep Patriot 2.4 w/ 5-Speed. About 2 months ago, I was on a business trip and my wife's Patriot started flashing the warning lights for the ABS / Traction Control. Since she couldn't get a hold of me, she freaked out and took it to the dealer. They immediately replaced the ABS computer and charged her $700+ bucks.Here is how: Park your Jeep Patriot in a well-lit area. Remove the screws that hold down the cover over the abs light. Update. The ABS, ESP/BAS, traction control and 4WD! lights turned off yesterday, i didn't do anything but re do the splice on the famous pink wire loop . I drove to My job and after driving about 2 Miles the 4WD! Light started blinking, two minutes later the other three lights turned on.

Check engine light. I have a 2016 Patriot with 40K miles on it. Over the last week the check engine light and the limp home light has been coming on in the morning. I shut it off and restart. The limp home light goes off and the check engine light stays on. It runs fine. I get to work and check the light at lunch and it not on any more.

The same light that when on, solid, indicated the emergency brake was engaged, when flashing indicated a problem with the brake system. At the very least I would say take a look at your brake fluid level.
