0. Nov 14, 2017. #1. The used go kart I bought came with a used predator 212. It ran alright stock. I removed governor, added custom exhaust, and mikuni carb. The motor seems easy to pull over. I checked the compression an it was about 30psi. The motor does run but requires the adjustment on the carb to be adjusted and many pulls to get it started.Not to chime in on anyones parade, i was having oil coming out the vent. I have the 265 racer cam, billet flywheel, and rod running 26lbs valve springs, vm 22mm mikuni knockoff #100 jet. I since did the vent back to the block and used 10w40 oil.

The original Tecumseh Pro Sport finally locked up on me but found out that Harbor Freight sells a 212cc "Predator" engine that is supposedly a good fit for the this particular go kart. It was a fairly easy swap out however, I've realized the crankshaft on this new engine is much shorter than the original engine.Tap them if possible, use fine thread bolts and red loctite. If you do the oil sensor too you'll need to cut the bolt because you won't be able to find one short 😜 enough. Just look at how deep the hole is and eyeball it. In my opinion, the Predator 3500 is an excellent generator for the price. Okay, it's not perfect, run at a full load the Honda is possibly quieter. The Predator also doesn't have a fuel gauge and its small wheels make it a little difficult to move around. However, in terms of design and performance, this really is an excellent generator.
