Just like most of you I've enjoyed reading the reviews on the 981 Cayman that have been posted over the last week or so. Glad Porsche finally let journalists drive in Portugal rather than cold and icy Germany. I was convinced that the only Cayman that I desired was the S but now I am conflicted based on the rave reviews of the base Cayman.The difference between the 981 and 982 engines isn’t just one of sound. It’s what you feel. The flat six gets connected to your body through the vibrations you feel. There is a visceral difference in how you directly connect with the engine. In my view, there is no substitute for this connection.
