The prettiest photo of a sunset didn't start out that way but when it was over, people were bumper to bumper on the beach taking pics. I've seen that up through April is the "best" time to visit, whereas into June you start to hit hurricane season, then heavy summer heat and the worst of the bugs.

Relatively speaking, St. John is a very safe place. We are not immune to crime, but most of our crime is of the non violent type, burglary probably the biggest. You will want to use normal precautions such as locking your car and villa, don't go looking for illegal substances, don't get falling down drunk and wander around town at night, that sort of thing. VILLA: We stayed in Peter Bay. When filtering villa rentals, it seems on St. John, needing 5 bedrooms puts you in Peter Bay, or at least by the time I started looking, it did. My go -to villa rental agency is www.wheretostay.com. They are wonderful and while I've used others over the years, they remain my favorite.

It’s a fun space and they’ve added plenty of fans to keep the air moving. It’s a straightforward place featuring hot dogs and tater tots. This is run by the team that runs The Windmill Bar.
