Alpha. Oct 5, 2021. #1. Dear Friends, I own and love a non-OSP 9mm XDM Elite 4.5" aka SA Prod # XDME9459BHC. Want to try a red-dot optic on it, but this model is not OSP-ready. Looking for sound recommendation (s) for best way (s) to accomplish this without buying a new gun. Please advise if you have feel you can help.Extended slide stop for XD and XDM. I also made a fat shim of Trex decking to keep the slide from rotating in the pusher frame, and I put brass shim stock between the pusher and the frame to take up the heinous amount of slop. I used a ratchet on the first one. I'll either use a torque wrench or a breaker bar on the next one.

I've got all models of the PRP from the extreme to the drop in models. The overall trigger pull length is shorter than the elite and range from 1 lb 14 oz to 2# 14 oz.Even fully loaded XDM mags with 19 rounds of 9mm seat easily into the pistol and cycle cleanly every time. It was evident in shooting fast ammo such as this 9mm at 1,150 fps that the lightening cut in the XDM 5.25 slide was causing the weapon to cycle quickly. You can shoot the basic 115 grain for 9mm but be prepared for it to jam every so often. I use 124 grain minimum to stay away from jamming. I would suggest buying a 14lb spring to shoot 115 grain.
