We stayed at The Fuengirola Beach in December, it was a great hotel. The rooms and balcony spacious, lots and lots of loungers and a large pool. Most of the beach people and evening walkers are Spanish. Evening venues mainly quiet, will be worse now with the new curfew/smoking laws.

Fuengirola is nice when the sun shines, quieter than Benidorm. Entertainment in Fuengirola is very low key. Few places have a music licence and the police raid now and then. It's not too bad in an hotel, but even then much of the entertainment is below par. I like Fuengirola in the Summer, 3 euro on the train from the airport.
