Note that std::mem::drop is not the same as std::ops::Drop::drop. Values are automatically dropped when they go out of scope. When a value is dropped, if it implements std::ops::Drop then its Drop::drop implementation will be called. All its fields will then be dropped too, whether or not it implements Drop.

It is definately not a serious problem, however, the frame drop is enormous (e.g. from 80 to 60). I did some further tests: there is only a noticable lag, if I join a server and open the inventory for the first time (s). I have had a cheap 1080p 60hz monitor before.
