The trip from Earth to LV-426 aboard the Sulaco seems to have taken a few weeks. Prometheus: FTL Travel, Speed of the SpaceCraft and Time-taken on earth. First, I'm just wondering whether it would really take just 80 more years for us to crack FTL travel (Faster than light). Second, this star-system is about 39-40 light years from earth. They travel this distance in 2 years. That would mean a speed of 20c (20x speed of light).
