Heritage rough rider issues.
Wanted to share that I also had an issue with the loading gate and hammer - both were bent/warped. I was able to hammer the loading gate flatter but no luck with the hammer. Called heritage and as a one time courtesy, they shipped me a new hammer and gate for free (as opposed to me shipping them to the gun to repair).

I would check alignment between the cylinder and the barrel before firing. Pull the hammer to position 2, and spin the cylinder through at least 3 times to ensure it is unloaded, pull the hammer all the way back, and look down the barrel. Went to purchase a Ruger Sp101 357mag, ended up looking at the Heritage too. It was $219 with the 2nd cylinder (22WMR). Ended up getting both and quite happy about it. Shot the RR 1st time yesterday and its very accurate.
Re: Heritage rough rider cylinder lock up issue. If it is a timing issue there should be lead shavings in front of the cylinder before the forcing cone. I have a Rough Rider Bird's Head with a 3" barrel. I've used .22LR and magnums through it no problem. The Single Six is better looking, feels good in the hand, is smooth and overall is built very well. The Rough Rider is built rough, not as pretty but feels good in the hand, is accurate and a whole lot of fun to shoot.

Mar 7, 2019 · Empty cases took 15-20 attempts to get them to eject. That problem is now solved. Very rough chambers smoothed out. 2. It will keyhole at 30 feet. Not every time. But enough to be annoying. Multiple types of ammo 36gr and 40gr. 3. 3 chambers appear misaligned to the barrel and probably the reason for the keyhole issue.
