When I strip the upper from the frame, I can freely pull the striker back and forth through the safety plunger.It appears the 43X's plunger looks similar to the one you posted a photo of, but the 42's looks very similar, if not identical, but they have different part numbers. 43X=Mfr Part: 33378 .
