Now it does seem that people were unfortunately "beta testers" early on. Those serial numbers from what I have found started with 52A and it was recommended that you stay with ones manufactured after October 2012 (don't quote me), my wife's 2015 model starts with 52B. Hopefully the bugs have been worked out with the newer ones. …
Aug 13, 2012 · I’m not a huge fan; it magnifies the feeling of the pull weight. Surprisingly for a 1911-style gun, the P938’s trigger pull clocks-in between 7.5 and 8 lbs. Worse, it had some grittiness to it. The reset was also sandy and a little long. This will remedy itself once I’ve put a few hundred rounds through the gun.

The best way is to look at the stickers on the outside of the case for the "date manufactured". If you don't have the case (or the stickers on it), you can call SIG CS or check out this thread to get an approximation:

The gun was field stripped, cleaned and oiled, and reassembled. A few weeks ago I took the Legion out to the range on two different occasions. Day 1: The gun fairly well.
