I'm of the opinion that Wyvern Counter is the best thing in the entire kit of any LBG build. The damage uptime you get while using it (and it allowing you near 100% MM uptime) is just exceptional. Fanning maneuver is neat but imo harder to use efficiently/less reliable than Wyvern Counter, and isn't as good even if used perfectlyUsing hailstorm and building for pierce is an odd choice. If you want to go pierce then stick to the malzeno/shagaru/narga lines for rapid fire pierce 2. You'll need to find room for some salvo decos but your damage will be way higher. edit: I personally use the Malzeno lbg because walking reload feels so good.Nargacuga LBG is best for P2RF. Primordial Malzeno's LBG (Pierce 2 RF): It's straight better than Malzeno's LBG, which was already quite OP. This weapon pretty much overshadows Pierce HBG for non-speedrunners. I'd argue that the comfort and mobility of LBG makes up for the small damage difference between the two, especially in singleplayer hunts.Ideally I'd like a best dps ammo type, and a casual comfy ammo type to use. Spread is generally high DPS just like HBG if you can keep good uptime close to the monster, and you have a bunch of options for LBG (Spread 3 Evade Reload, Spread 3 Slow Reload, Spread 2 Normal Reload with larger clips, comes down to preference)

Mind's Eye is situationally useful against certain monsters. I run it on a GS or Hammer build if I'm fighting Lavasioth, Uragaan, Nergigante. (Barroth is a joke regardless). I would run Mind's Eye in Pierce builds if I had slots after maxing our Max Might and Crit Eye, maybe.
