I have somehow managed to get the slide stuck open on my LC9s while cleaning it after shooting today. Upon cleaning and reassembly, I pushed the slide back in order to install the retaining pin. I think I pushed it too far back and now the whole slide is stuck open. Front sight is the standard size tritium dot and the rear is the vertical bar. Mar 16, 2024 · As mentioned, the 9mm LC9s is based on the LCP model and features a polymer frame design. This feature makes the LC9s much lighter and ideal for concealed carry. The LC9s is a striker-fired pistol; its frame does not come with mainspring and hammer. Instead, the mainspring is placed in the slide, where it responds to the impact of the firing pin.

The EC9s has fixed sights instead of the drift adjustable rear sight seen on the LC9 and LC9s. The blued finish on the slide was also replaced with a black-oxide finish. These changes allowed Ruger to offer the EC9s at a much more affordable price.

If it's a PRO model just pull the trigger. If it's the NON-PRO model it should have come with an orange "dummy mag" that needs to be inserted before being able to pull the trigger.
