I have a 1951 Farmall M with live hydraulics, pump next to distributor and a 2 way valve on the top of the pump. I have two lines that come off of the two way valve to the rear of the tractor with the original pioneer quick coupler ends on them. The arm width on a fast hitch is right in between the official specification for Category 1 and Category 2 3-point hitch pin spacings. IIRC Cat I is 26", Fast Hitch is 28" and Cat II is 32". Of course not all implement manufacturers follow the standard, which is why your blade just happens to fit with straight arms.

They may work passably well for utility type stuff (platforms and the like), but fail with equipment that requires a proper draft behavior (like a plow). Try using a combination like that and you will be constantly fighting it.

There is a separate hydraulic cylinder, connections to the belly-mounted cylinder, a selector valve between the two, etc.
