2013 Prius. Model: Two. Lol Idk how I get the orange triangle light on but I'm guessing my hybrid battery is about to shit the bed. I went to toyota today to get coolant and ask about the warning light and prompt. They said it would be $110 to diagnose it but it's most likely the hybrid battery.
There is a long wire going from the + of the battery to the fuse box under the hood and the negative is just connected to the body near the tail light. Make sure those are nice and clean at both ends. There is a ground connection at the fuse box to the body as well. In disconnecting the 12 V battery you have deleted any codes that were present. 12.5 V is not bad and certainly not a reason for problems. If you can, connect the voltmeter to either the battery in the rear cargo area or the jump terminal in the engine fuse box. With the car in ACC mode, foot off of brake and one press of Power button, take a volt reading. Then turn on headlights and take another reading. If less than 12.0 V then you need a new battery.

Normally when the car doesn't start, you can reset it by disconnecting the 12v battery for a minute and then try again. It should start at least 1 time.
