There are currently over 140,000 active college student members on almost 300 campuses. There have been over 1.5 million alumni in the 27 years the organization has been around. The invitation was sent by the University of Michigan because they have vetted NSCS and know it is a valid honors society. Right-- no one here said either the national society of collegiate scholars or the National society of HS scholars were "scams". I'll say it - NSCS and NSHSS are scams.
