I used wroggi and GI LBG up until I made the narga bowgun, but you can probably use rheno or dreamshell armour for pierce up to boost damage a bit. Also consider HR ore for Normal 2 spam and HR remobra for Shrapnel/Spread, but both drop off substantially, and GI has the advantage of RF slicing as well for more mats via tails.

Guess that depends on what you're using, although the Zinogre LBG, Despot's Wildfire, is probably the more common Normal one to use since it also has Rapid Fire Slicing in addition to Rapid Normal 2. I think Kushala's Icesteel Wasp is also fairly decent. I actually run a Normal HBG using Despot's Paroxysm.Plus shield mods and scope mod don't exist. Plus LBG has a spread gun with a disgusting amount of raw. Spread HBG might do more damage than spread LBG on paper but in a real hunt, there's just no good reason to play spread HBG over LBG in sunbreak. I'm a big fan of LBG at Iceborne endgame, but without KT guns it's just "okay" through HR, and the selection of LBGs through Iceborne story is a bit sad. Never unplayable, but if your target is buttkicking damage AND you take KT ...Pierce 1 ammo economy is awful. Grab Jyuratodus LBG (in 5*) or go all in on Nargacuga (6*).
