The LIM gaskets that are most often recommended are the ACDelco metal gaskets. 89017816 is an ACDelco part number for yours but IDK if these are the plastic or the metal ones. I took the UIM off and have taken all the bolts of the LIM out but I cannot get it to break loose. I have tapped it with a rubber mallet and used a prybar under the thermostat area.
