My son's 2007 kfx 90 will start fine when kick started, but the start button only starts it very intermittently. Battery is new and has 12v. I know the starter is good, because if I bypass the starter relay (jump the wire that has 12v to the one that goes to the starter) it starts right up. This led me to believe it was the starter relay.

First the ATV was running, giving a little starting trouble and then just wouldn't start. After checking compression, it had about 30lbs. I changed the rings with stock rings and now it pumps up to about 80lbs.

The needle seat has a small screen and it was plugged only letting a small amout of fuel into the bowl. Most of the jets were clear but I still used music wire and air to clear any blockages. They're by far the hardest 4 wheelers to work on I've ever been around!
