I'm new to the forum and Hyundai family. I recently purchased a non runner 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid with 77k miles for very inexpensive you from a friend of mines' tow truck bank recovery yard. It was a volunteer repo. I was interest in repairing it myself. The hybrid system is not under warranty after verifying it with the dealer.

Basically the fix is replacing the lever with a new one. They have to pull the starter out and take it apart. Shouldn't take more than an hour. 2.The engine turns over but won't start. The car has 65k on it. I thought it might be the fuel pump because I couldn't hear it when I turned the ignition to the on position. I was in the trunk and still couldn't hear it. I replaced the fuel pump, but still the car won't start. By the way, the old fuel pump was good. Tested directly to the battery.
