I also noted a motor can let go from various reasons like tune, what gas, and how the person drives. If they are doing runs from light to light and WOT runs every chance they get, they have a higher chance of getting a fatigued failure.

The S motors are rated at 180 HP @ 3400 and 360 ft/lbs @ 1800 . However to add some confusion, the is a little * beside the rating for the 97 and 98 years for both the F and S engines.
