There are 2 kinds of derelicts,,, the one you found are just derelict freighters which have most the time 2 pods which you may loot. The other derelict (where you can land on it and explore the inside) you find only with an Emergency Broadcast Receiver (EBR) which you can buy from that Scrap Dealer in every Spacestation. #1.
