Storyline actually turns quest text into a followable storyline, making it a ton less boring. Immersion or storyline whichever you prefer the look of. The both make reading quest text more inviting. Also best quest lore, provides pop ups with details of lore when you come across significant locations.
They are most definitely a distinct race of elves. The Nightborne were sealed away for 10,000 years, which when combined with the influence of the Nightwell, means they are physiologically removed from Night Elves.
