The addition of the scaling feature helps as games that do not run well on Deck can be toned down. The current "meta game" for great performance is either 0.50x or 0.75x render scale docked + FSR. Ryujinx is quite as robust so if a game does not run well, you are out of luck. I would actually have both installed.

In Ryujinx, navigate to Options > Settings > Input tab and select which controller you are configuring. Remember: if you are in docked mode, configure Player 1. If you are in Handheld mode, configure the Handheld controller. Select your motion controller from the dropdown. When trying to emulate a slower GPU and a lower resolution, you get better performance. The logic is there, and credit to the team for the execution. It's like a CPU/GPU clock override built into the console! Except way better, because the games themselves are expecting it. I was away from world of emulation and its news for afew months. The blurriness is from upscaling, which those old systems didn't have to do thanks to the screens of the time. They might only have been outputting like 256x224 on the SNEs, but it didn't get all blurry from upscaling it to a 720p screen - maybe it got a bit 'fatter' compared to the Genesis, but that's it. Most of the time I play in handheld mode for portability, but the game is amazing in docked mode. Not because the resolution increases a little bit, no. It is because the Switch screen is mediocre at best. When you plug it in a good TV, you will see the real colors the devs intended to use on BotW, much more vivid than what the Switch screen shows.
