I one tricked ryze top, but with the minion aggro update its actually just too hard in some matchups now. I'm having a hard time finding ryze viable at all right now, but he is specifically worse after that aggro update. Like many have said, this is actually more manageable top lane. You can play with the bushes.My build is usually rav hydra - swifties - infinity edge - and then manamune bc its blue. hes viable (or as viable as ryze can be) anywhere. mid and top are his best lanes and they are very close in viability. just go a normal build top, maybe take ghost into something you need to kite hard (like trundle, darius, garen etc.)

Is Ryze support viable? I've tried it out in Normal several times now and I'm surprised at how good Ryze is at securing kills. His E-W-Q combo is pretty much always guaranteed to hit and causes massive damage during early-mid game. He scales a bit poorly, for some reason he doesn't do much damage during late game, and is quite squishy.

beacuse ryze has to stand still to use e-w you usually cant react to his q3 with it. you should try practising dodging his q3 since after that you can pretty easily e-w and run away. you should also try to just push and roam, you wont be killing him in lane. also get boneplating, go normal paherush build but with boneplating and overgrowth/tenacity

If you average 8-8.5 by 30min you should have 3 items + boots + a component. Also keeping track of where you can actually get solo xp and farm. If your bot lane doesn’t ask and just shows up mid, you should swap immediately to the free lane. The goal is to scale and become a threat.
