My old Jeep XJ's throttle body does have a replaceable IAC which i cleaned twice during its 330K miles and recently replaced along with the TPS as PM items. If the PCM reset didn't work i'd check for vacuum leaks and those cable connectors first before looking into the throttle body.

If the plug won't push in all the way, I would first check to see if any of the 6 pins in the throttle body side are bent, broke, or otherwise damaged. If o.k., then check the wire harness side carefully for damage to one on the female receptors. The female wire harness side could be replaced by splicing in a good one from a junk yard.
Thanks for your quick response. So what you are saying is, that my in-line 6 pin is the newer connector and the throttle body sent has the old discontinued connector. So if I buy a new throttle body it should be the inline 6 pin. One would think that if you buy a new TB they would ask or give the pigtail for the potentially needed connector.
