Instant health is a must, though, since it makes you invincible more or less. Armor penetration/%current HP damage are good as well for DPS. I personally like the torch placing affix on my pickaxe, just because no need to craft torches. Good for early game, especially.

Apparently the enchanting table can't read my bookshelves if they're covered by slabs. You need at around 9 hell shelves surrounding the enchantment table to allow for the infusion enchantment to show up. I tested it out just before replying to this. The only one that worked was a redstone comparator. Steps that I did. 1. Mined a spawner with silk touch pick 2. placed down blaze spawner 2.right clicking with sugar, clock, or nether star does nothing. 3. tried a redstone comparator it worked. 4. repeat step 2. Is there a new list of items to augment spawners or is mine just bugged.

Doesn't seem to drop many Earth gems, though. No matter for my purposes. Apotheosis gem types are random. I've only gotten them as rare drops from killing endermen in the end.
