Posted September 6, 2019. You should not need to remove the float bowl on an FCR carb to remove the fuel screw. It must be hung on the spring or it got turned in too tight at some point and the o-ring is mashed and that may be gripping it. Be careful as there is a spring, a tiny o-ring and a tiny flat washer that are part of the assembly.

So to increase engine output, either the airflow capacity must be increased or the fuel/air charge burned more effectively. The primary obstacles to getting maximum airflow into an engine are the carburetor, intake manifold and port.The carb is new, but I also made sure it was clean and free of defects on the slide and it's channel in the carb (what ever that's called) so it's not hanging up on something internally.
