Shot my new Beretta A300 ultima patrol. Federal Flite Control, and Nobel reduced recoil 9 pellet buck for patterning. 10 rounds of each. Also ran a box of 25 #8 skeet loads. It's an extremely soft shooting shotgun, and patterns well with the Flite Control at 18 yards.

Next, remove the fore-end cap. This piece holds the barrel and fore-end in place. Unscrew it until it slides free. After that, you'll be able to take off the fore-end itself. Be gentle - you don't want to risk damaging your Beretta A300 in the cleaning process. Now comes the barrel removal. The rear ~2" of the A300 handguard is a separate piece where the 1301 is one continuous piece. That said the Zhukov handguard adds zero value to the gun for me. It's fairly fragile and there's not much room on the backside for the retaining nut, usually you need to grind it down. I recommend getting Briley M-lock handguard. Zhukov isn't worth it for a couple of M-LOK slots (the ones you can actually use) and weirdly exposed moving parts. OEM handguard looks way better esthetically. I would get Briley, keep OEM or wait for the A300 Ultima handguard being adopted for 1301.
