They've got the largest shields of any heavy infantry, some of the strongest armor, and are brutal in close combat - plus they always seem to hit more often with their javelins than legionaries do.

Archers will fire at a distance this makes for a weaker shot and they will run out of ammo. and troop vs troop, imp shields and Stergia axe men at top level. with perks the axes deal with shielded troops easy.
